Paxton Pits Nature Reserve

On my way to present first lecture to St. Neot's and District Camera Club, I decided to travel up earlier in the afternoon and investigate Paxton Pits Nature Reserve. It's quite a long journey up to Cambridgeshire, and traffic can be bad on the M25 and M1/A1 so I'd always allow an extra long time for the trip in case of traffic snarl-ups.

The nature reserve was slowly returning to life and greenness after Winter, and there were some lovely reflections of the blue sky and clouds in the water. All in all very refreshing and far more pleasurable than hacking up the motorway in the height of the rush hour!

Walk Amongst the Tall Trees

We had a short but very enjoyable walk in the tall trees plantation, some wonderful specimens to be seen. Lots of great natural textures for me to photograph as well!

After the walk, a restorative cup of coffee in Lyndhurst was required.
